Your guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport via KLM or ET and escort you to accommodations in Arusha. As local Tanzanians, our guides know the country with unrivaled familiarity , so you’ll be in good hands from the moment you land to the moment you leave. You will be assisted to check-in at your hotel, and if possible followed with a short safari briefing or it can be done tomorrow early morning. Overnight stay at:
Day 2:Lake Manyara National Park/ Karatu
After breakfast, head to the magnificent Lake Manyara. Though one of the smaller national parks in the country, it still packs a punch. Expect to spot herds of elephants slowly trekking across the plains, vast troops of baboons in the thick forest canopy and – if you are lucky! – perhaps even tree-climbing lions. You’ll spend the day in your private 4×4 safari vehicle with your experienced safari guide leading the way. A mesmerizing variety of wildlife can be found around the huge soda lake, including buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras and plenty of pink flamingos. The shallow Hippo Pool is always a highlight and offers excellent opportunities for hippo sightings as well as spectacular views of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Dinner and Overnight stay at:
Day 3-5:Lake Manyara National Park/ Serengeti National Park
Today you will continue your African safari experience to one of the country’s biggest National Park. The Serengeti National Park. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife that call the Serengeti home are unsurpassed. The Wildebeest Migration with more than a million wildebeest is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Together with your private guide, you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals, you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many many more. Dinner and Overnight stay at:
Day 6:Serengeti Park-Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning you drive from Serengeti to the Ngorongoro. Upon arrival at Ngorongoro, you will start descending into the crater. This collapsed volcano is the main feature of the area and creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colours of the landscapes and the diversity of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is choked with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. There is a range of activities to do in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, like visiting a Maasai village. You can spend up to six hours in the crater before heading back to Karatu. Dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 7: Karatu Tarangire National Park
After breakfast we depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch we do an afternoon game drive. Dinner and Overnight stay at:
Days 8: Tarangire National Park/ Arusha
We enjoy an early morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at the lodge. We will then transfer back to Arusha/ airport for a flight back home or to Zanzibar if there is another extended excursion chosen .
